Accessibility Statement

Cornell Mortgages Residential is committed to making this website and its residential mortgage information accessible to people with disabilities.

Our commitment

We are committed to providing a respectful, accessible and inclusive digital experience for Ontario home buyers. We aim to identify and remove barriers in a manner consistent with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and applicable accessibility requirements.

Accessibility target

This website is designed with a target of conformance to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, where reasonably practicable. Our goal is to make information perceivable, operable, understandable and robust across a range of devices, browsers and assistive technologies.

Measures we take

  • Use clear headings, logical page structure and descriptive link labels.
  • Support keyboard navigation and visible keyboard focus.
  • Use readable text, responsive layouts and colour contrast intended to support legibility.
  • Provide text alternatives for meaningful images and avoid relying only on colour to communicate information.
  • Use accessible form labels, instructions and validation patterns where forms are available.
  • Respect reduced-motion preferences where supported.
  • Review new content and components for accessibility considerations before publication where possible.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some content or third-party services may not yet fully meet the WCAG 2.1 AA target. In particular, third-party workflows such as Calendly, the Newton application portal, embedded analytics technologies and external documents are controlled by their providers and may have different accessibility support. We cannot control every aspect of those services, but we welcome feedback and will work to provide an alternative where reasonably possible.

Some older content, documents or browser-and-assistive-technology combinations may also present limitations. We review reported barriers and prioritize reasonable fixes based on their impact and available solutions.

Feedback and accessible formats

If you encounter an accessibility barrier, need information in an accessible format or need assistance using this website, contact Cornell K. Haynes at cornell@ncompassfinancial.ca or by telephone at 647-923-7499. Please describe the page or content, the barrier you experienced, your preferred format or communication method, and how we can contact you.

We will acknowledge your request and work with you to provide a response or accessible format in a timely manner, taking into account the nature of the request and the information needed. Formats may include accessible HTML, large print, plain-language explanation or another reasonable communication support.

Continuous improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing practice. We use feedback to improve this website and welcome suggestions about how the residential purchase-mortgage experience can be made more accessible.
